Unfolding Realities: AR Stories
With Andra Purdea
Augmented reality (AR) is becoming an autonomous art form, capable of creating aesthetic and emotional experiences. Together with Andra Purdea we will explore how AR transforms art and the exhibition space: the viewer, usually a passive observer becomes an active participant. We will also discuss the technical and ethical challenges of AR, such as the ephemerality of works and confidentiality in fields like education and medicine.
Andra Purdea is an interdisciplinary visual artist, university lecturer and plastic artist at the "Lucian Blaga" National Theatre in Cluj-Napoca. Specialized in AR and new media, she has presented projects in numerous national and international contexts and teaches augmented reality, transmedia and digital technologies at Babeș-Bolyai University.
